This is a generic check-list of what should be done before a live broadcast. Not all of this will apply to every show.
Studio streams
Sound
- Microphones patched at both ends
- Line and patch checks
- Audio gets to the Sound board
- Sound check
- Audio EQ and mix
- Audio to OB unit
Vision
- All cameras patched
- Signals being received in the gallery
- All monitors working as required
- Cameras assigned to sensibly-ordered input on ATEM
- VT playback
- Graphics from the graphics machine
- Graphics loaded into graphics machine
General
- Power to all cameras
- Stream encoder
- Stream distributor
- Comms including director
- Lighting setup and saved
- Autocue working and script loaded
Recording
- Blackmagic Video assist as backup
OB
Sound
- Microphones plugged in and switched on
- Line check
- Audio gets to the Sound board
- Sound check
- Audio EQ and mix
- Audio to OB unit
Vision
- All cameras plugged in
- Signals being received in the gallery
- Cameras assigned to sensibly-ordered input on ATEM
