This is a dual rail PSU giving 5v, -5v, 12v, -12v.

  • SMPSU
  • ATX form factor
  • currently powering the scart bodges (autoswitch to scart input dongles...)

This is a separate box to make getting it PAT tested easier. Inside is a RF filtered IEC mains inlet, a 20mm fuseholder and a LASCAR power supply board, which provides +- 12V and +5V using linear regulators. A pair of 10-turn presets on the board allow the adjustment of the symetrical output voltages.

There isn't an on-off switch because it's intended to be on all the time, and there isn't a power on indicator because the box will probably be hidden out the way.
