I haven't seen this mythical box I don't think.--Malcolm.chambers 20:39, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
This is a separate box to make getting it PAT tested easier. Inside is a RF filtered IEC mains inlet, a 20mm fuseholder and a LASCAR power supply board, which provides +- 15V and +5V using linear regulators. A pair of 10-turn presets on the board allow the adjustment of the symetrical output voltages.
The output is via a length of starquad cable to a 4-pin DIN plug to connect to the NetMuxBreakout itself. The cores in the cable are show below.
Connection | Colour | Pin |
---|---|---|
+15V | Red | 2 |
-15V | Blue | 1 |
+5V | White | 3 |
0V | Green, Screen | 4 |
There isn't an on-off switch because it's intended to be on all the time, and there isn't a power on indicator because the box will probably be hidden out the way. The front of the NetMuxBreakout will have power indicators.
